Good Day for Sports on Sat.

Yesterday was a great sports day for our children. Jacob had 2 soccer games yesterday and although they lost the first game he did score a goal - excellent!! In the second game Jacob's team beat one of the best teams in the league. Outstanding. Seems like Jacob always scores a goal when I'm not there to see it. I was at FCS all day yesterday for our fall volleyball tournament with Hannah and the FCS Varsity Volleyball team. Turned out to be a really good tournament with 8 teams - one as far away as Northern New Jersey and one team from Galludet - that's the school for deaf in the DC area. Kevin and the boys popped in and out in between soccer games to see Hannah play and Grandma and Grandpa Woods even came by for a while. It was a fun day. I especially love the game . We had one senior starter out with the flu and are playing with a really young team but got to the semifinal before losing to Greenbrier. Hannah had the honor of being selected to the all -tournament team so that was special. She even smiled about that!! Today we will go to the Lord's house for a little worship time and this afternoon it's "all the way to DC" for a soccer game with Ian. That's a long drive to a soccer game but it's worth it to see him play. Can't forget to mention Kelsey - she has just gotten back from a 2 day road trip with another senior girl to visit James Madison University...they had a fun time. And drove all the way over there by themselves - didn't get lost!! Well, bye-bye for now. Updates on more sports are guarenteed next week since we play our BIG rivals, Seton, in volleyball and soccer. May God Bless your day!
