Successful Father and Son Hunting

I have to say that I am very proud that my husband is teaching both our boys the art of hunting. They are learning when to take a shot and when to wait. They are not just going out and shooting at anything that moves. Kevin is a very patient teacher and he stresses safety above all else, followed closely by taking only ethical shots that will do the job. If the boys have doubts, he encourages them to wait and think it through. As a result both boys have gotten deer this year. Actually, Jacob got his first on opening day ( see earlier posting Oct 3) and Ian just got his first two, a day apart, this week. Kevin and Ian got these two on the same day just a few minutes apart.

A little "bloody" humor from Daddy!
Ian's first kill with his bow. Button buck! All will be tasty additions to the freezer and very welcome. We eat everything they kill. Venison is tasty!
