Weird Week in August

I really don't even know how to start blogging about our weird week of weather and eartquakes last week.    Surreal. But here's a funny picture that was probably started by someone from California! It is funny though!

Here's another...this one is for real ...headlines in the next days paper!

We are safe, healthy, happy and had no damage from the earthquake on Tuesday, Tornado on Thursday, 46 assorted Aunts, Uncles, Cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's 50'th anniversary pre-party Friday night at our house, or hurricane Irene on Saturday. Only lost power for 4 hrs total and never even used the generator!

Our school verse for  this year is from Isaiah 41:13
 For I am the Lord your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.
Guess we started the year off right with a great object lesson!

God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...
