Hannah and Ian went with FCS on the annual West Virginia Mission trip April 4 - April 7. Ian got cleared by his surgeon the day before the trip departed - so just 2 weeks after his appendectomy he was able to go and contribute to the team. Isn't God good? Once again they were helping out at Chestnut Mountain Ranch. Most of their work this time was at a warehouse recently purchased by Chestnut Mountain Ranch. They were tasked with helping clean it out and it looks as if they also helped with a yard sale to get rid of all the stuff in there. And of course, they had to take the plunge into the ice cold river on the last day - it's tradition! They arrived back home late Saturday afternoon, tired, but glad they went.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
A prayer for my children from 1 Peter 4:8 - 11
Lord, above all, let my children love others deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Let my children use whatever gifts they have received to serve others, faithfully administering youir grace in its various forms. Let them serve with the strength you provide, so that in all things you, O Lord, will get the credit and glory.
