For all you folks who like to eat in our kitchen you may not want to see/hear this!! One of our favorite chickens - our little red star - became ill yesterday. We brought her in the house and let her soak in warm water in the kitchen sink after supper last night. Kevin was very attentive and helpful with this whole ordeal. Pretty funny when you think about it!! Secretly, I think he likes the chickens as much as me!! Oh yeah, he scrambled an egg for her too! That is supposed to be good for sick chicks!! Anyway, she got a bath and then we dried her in front of the wood burning stove and she slept in the kitchen last night in the dog crate. We will keep her in the house for a few days till she is feeling better... We should title our page Wacky Woods World...seriously who else would let a chicken sleep in their kitchen?
