Hey all ya'll down in Alabama, especially Whitman Wilkerson!! Flat Stanley has arrived safe and sound. Of course he was happily greeted by his cousins...Jacob, Ian and Hannah Woods. He traveled approximately 781 miles to stay with us in Spotsylvania County, Virginia which is near Fredericksburg. Spotsylvania and Fredericksburg both were home to several important Civil War battles. More on that later. Flat Stanley has hit the ground running! He has already been to Fredericksburg Christian School for the day with the cousins and to the Pentagon in Washington DC with Colonel Woods (Uncle Kevin). Then on Friday he accompanied the Woods family to the University of South Carolina for President's day weekend to see older cousin Kelsey, who is a Freshman at USC. That drive was almost 450 miles. Hannah has outfitted Stanley with the most fashionable clothes. Today he wore his University of South Carolina tee shirt to the Carolina baseball game to see the 2010 College World Series Champion Gamecocks play Santa Clara in their opening weekend matchup. We took a few pictures for you to enjoy! Whitman, Flat Stanely is having lots of fun and we will be taking great care of him! Thanks for allowing him to visit us!
