Flat Stanley at the Fredericksburg Battlefield ( Battle of Fredericksburg - December 1862)

The National Cemetery at Marye's Heights is the resting place for over 13,000 battle casualties. In July 1865, Congress authorized the establishment of a National Cemetery in Fredericksburg as a final resting place for soldiers who died in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania area battles during the Civil War.
