I cannot believe that it is September already. And I haven't even posted on this blog since summertime. All the kids are back in school. Kelsey has started her first year of the pharm D program at South Carolina College of Pharmacy - following the pharmacy traditions of her Uncle, Grandmother and Great Grandfather. Isn't that amazing. She is very excited. Hannah has started her Freshman year at the University of Mary Washington and is carrying a pretty heavy load as a biology major. She is also working as a nanny in the afternoons several days a week for a local family. Both the boys are in High School and playing soccer non stop it seems. Jacob is a freshman and Ian is a junior. Oh yeah, Ian now has his driver's license. Hard to believe, right?
On another note, we are growing as a family! Welcoming my sweet, sweet Mama to our crazy family! What a big move for Gaga, but we couldn't be happier. We are busy getting our basement prepped for construction. It will be finished into an 1100 square foot apartment with walk out for Gaga: complete with kitchen, family room , sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. She and Maggie and Petey will be very snug and comfy there! We are so excited and can hardly wait! Contractors are being interviewed and are working on estimates. We have removed all the insulation and are down to bare cinder block walls that were painted by the previous owner with something like drylock. We have to strip all this paint and then apply a product to make the walls and floor vapor and waterproof in order for the construction to start and the professionals to take over. I hope to post pictures of our progress to share in our excitement. Please pray for this process to go smoothly with no surprises. We want God in all the details.
