Candace (my sister) and Brian (her hubby) met us in Elba ( all the way from Illinois) just before Thanksgiving to help pack up. Kristi (my neice) and Benny (Kristi's husband) were there to help too. They will be moving into Gaga's house. Kristi kept us fed as we packed up the Uhaul and before we knew it we were driving 14 hrs in a 3 car/Uhaul truck convoy.
Gaga is now a Virginia resident. Oh yeah and Petey the parrot and Maggie the Lhaso!
It's been a blast for us so far but I can't tell you what Gaga thinks about sharing the house with all us crazy Woods! There is always something going on here. Somebody is always coming and going. She told me today when I asked her what she wanted to do..."I want to do something none of y'all know how to do...NOTHING!" We just laughed but I'm pretty sure she was serious.
But hey, we are a family!
The construction starts around the first week of January for the basement remodel. Gaga will then have her own private apartment and can "get away" from us if she wants too!
Can I just say one more time that I have a really really good man for a husband. How many men do you know who would welcome their Mother-in-law...and her parrot named Petey and her Lhaso named Maggie? Thank you Kevin. God really blessed me with a good man. I don't deserve him but I thank the Lord for him everyday!
